Well... again again... Ben10 and Generator Rex mix! 
Alpha nanite is sentient.. so I believe that the omnitrix could be set to copy it (like upgrade is made up of nano circuits etc.)
The omntrix version is called Meta-nite
(combination of Meta and Nanite)
